Vaui wasn’t born in a sterile boardroom. It was born in a beverage lab on the north shore of Mau. It was born from a simple realization: while we are more "connected" than ever via our screens, we’ve never been more disconnected from each other.
We wanted a seat at the table for a different kind of social life - one that didn't involve a choice between being "on" or "under the fog." To do it, we had to assemble a team of experts to turn a shared vision into a Calm Buzz.
The Spark: From Master Brewer to Kava Architect
It started with Kyle. With a degree in Brewing Technology and a background as a Head Brewer at the award-winning RoadHouse Brewery, Kyle is a master of the "pour." But while he loved the craft of beer, he became fascinated by the ancient properties of Kava.
He saw a way to take his years of production expertise and apply them to a "functional unwind." He swapped the hops for Noble Kava root, perfecting a proprietary aqueous extraction that delivers the relaxation of a fine libation without the "next-day grog."
The Engine: Drive, Sales, and Operations
A great liquid needs a steady hand. Enter Matt and Jayla Blanco.
Matt is the extroverted energy of Vaui. A former band tour manager, he knows exactly how to "herd cats" and get things done. His background in CPG and the cannabis industry gave him the drive to bring this new social ritual to the masses. Alongside him is Jayla, our operational anchor. While Matt is building the community, Jayla is overseeing the "internal nervous system" - from finance to vendor relations - ensuring our people-first culture stays at the heart of every can we ship.
The Soul: Curating the Finer Things
For Vaui to truly feel like a ritual, it needed a curator. Cady Cox, with her background in modern dance, brought an innate sense of "flow" to the brand. As our head of outreach and PR, Cady ensures that every touchpoint of Vaui feels sophisticated and intentional. For Cady, the "finer things" aren't luxury goods; they are the moments spent laughing with friends and family. She is the architect of the vibe.
The Guardian: 33 Years of Strategy
Finally, we needed a foundation of trust. Brian Grossman, a California attorney with over 33 years of experience, serves as our General Counsel. Having specialized in startups, wellness, and digital marketing, Brian provides the legal and strategic guidance that ensures Vaui is built to last. He is the steady hand that allows our creative vision to flourish within a framework of total integrity.
The Shared Vision
Today, we are on a mission to help you reclaim your "Third Space." We believe in a social life where you can be fully present, entirely sharp, and deeply relaxed.
Vaui is more than a tonic; it’s our invitation to you. Put the phone down, crack a cold can of Sparkling Kava Tea, and stay in the flow.
